How to Add a Custom Token to Your Wallet
After creating a token, some users do not see it in their wallet right away — this is completely normal.
Thousands of new tokens are created every day, and popular wallets do not add them automatically.
After deploying your token, you may need to add it manually by specifying the smart contract address.
General principle
The process is similar in most wallets and usually consists of the following steps:
-
Open the blockchain explorer of the network where your token was deployed
(for example: Etherscan, BscScan, PolygonScan, etc.).
-
Copy the smart contract address of your token.
-
Open your wallet and go to the section for adding a token manually.
-
Paste the contract address and save.
After this, the token will appear in your wallet and will be available for viewing and use.
Below are step-by-step instructions on how to add a token
in popular wallets: MetaMask and Trust Wallet
MetaMask
- Open the Tokens tab and make sure the correct network is selected.
- Tap the + button in the mobile app or open the menu (three dots) in the browser extension.
- Go to the Custom Token section.

The token will appear in your wallet.

The token will be added to your wallet.
Important to remember
- Adding a token does not affect its security.
- You are only adding the token display to your wallet interface.
- All token data is stored on and verified by the blockchain.
Wallet interfaces and functionality change over time.
If something looks different, always check the official documentation of your wallet for the most up-to-date instructions.
